After an invigorating experience at GlassBuild America 2015, for the first time Gimav member firms will also participate collectively in GBA-Las Vegas, the show held in even-numbered years.

The response was immediate, with 16 companies and more than 600 sq. m of exhibit area reserved.

This kind of participation validates the strategic value of the US market for Italy’s glass processing machines businesses, as also indicated by data from Gimav’s Study Center.

The recovery of the North American economy, currently in a positive market scenario with continued robust growth in domestic demand, contributes to optimistic expectations for the development of Italy’s glass industry. The US market has a soft spot for Italian-made glass processing products, thanks to the innovative, high-tech, customized, exclusive solutions they bring to the table.

Following are some of the innovations that Gimav members will introduce to the North American market October 19-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Adelio Lattuada (stand N754) will exhibit its TLR 13 AV C – 13-wheel mitering machine (0-45°), the perfect choice for large-scale production of oversize, thick glass sheets.

ADI (stand N840) will roll out its new UHS bonds for automotive glass and its patented WET trapezoidal grinding wheel that ensures top performance in terms of lifespan, profile retention, minimal deformation of the flat areas and lower overall cost of ownership.

Cugher (stand N740), in addition to its screen-printing machines, the company will showcase high-level, innovative solutions for glass handling, quality control and drying needs.

Among innovations in the field of infrared and UV technology, Helios Quartz (stand N845) will display its Fully Automatic Tin Detector, engineered to recognize the tin side of glass to ensure that processing is carried out on the “air side”.

Macotec (stand N733) will display one of its latest-generation lines, the Star Cut 3.7FB, the flat glass cutting table that can be equipped with an innovative device for removal of the temporary protective plastic film (TPF) applied to protect the delicate Low-E coating along the straight or curved edges before they enter the grinding process.

R.C.N. Solutions (stand N742) leads with its new tilting table for moving and positioning glass (and fits all lamination furnaces, with or without vacuum bag technology), that sharply reduces glass handling times.

TC Special Equipments (stand N849) will introduce a vast range of its washing and water treatment machines, for laminated and insulating glass, all extremely custom-tailored to meet the most diverse needs.

TK (stand N841) will showcase its tempering, lamination, heat soaking and chemical tempering ovens, backed by two decades of TK know-how, to ensure the utmost in energy efficiency.

In distribution at the Gimav stand (stand N948) is the Association’s new digital product catalog on USB key, indexed by industry sector, product type and company name. This key tool is available to all industry professionals.
