CHIUDI

Intermac at Vitrum: guided by the Automaction concept, Intermac will set out to affirm and further strengthen the relationship between humans and robots. The future of Industry 4.0 will be in action with innovative, revolutionary technology thanks to which the factory of tomorrow can be visualised today.

Vitrum, an international trade show that focuses on machines, equipment and facilities for processing glass, will be hosted at Fiera Milano Rho from 1 to 4 October 2019. Visitors to Hall 5 will get an up-close look at automated process solutions and robotic cells capable of adding personalisation, modularity and flexibility to the plant.

MASTER 33.3 WITH ROS
Intermac constantly redesigns the future of production and at the Vitrum trade fair, the company will show how benefits can be obtained from the integration of technology with ROS (Robotically Operated Systems). The ROS guarantees limitless and effective production and consists of an anthropomorphic robot at the service of the Master 33.3 3-axis machining centre. Dedicated to processing glass, it's capable of performing the full range of machining operations without compromising on performance. It's the ideal solution for those who need automated solutions for the production of large batches.

GENIUS COMBY PLUS R-A37 with SWIFT SHUTTLE
The Comby Plus R-A37 version of the Genius CT-Plus will be in action at the stand. It's the ideal solution for customers who wish to achieve ultimate productivity with a minimal footprint and in less time, while maintaining elevated cutting precision. The cutting line integrates with the Movetro handling and storage systems: thanks to the Swift shuttle with 4 regular positions, this is the perfect technology for storing and handling sheets of glass in a very small space. The Movetro line is, in fact, a cutting-edge adaptation of the classic model: a solution that can be personalised and configured, capable of feeding multiple cutting lines at the same time after collecting the sheets from fixed racks or from automatic classifiers - with the option of returning the unused section of the sheet to its original position or to specific stations.

AQUA
Among the innovations launched on the market in 2019, the Aqua range of products is of particular note; it consists of a series of vertical washing machines that can be fully integrated with Intermac Vertmax vertical machining centres, allowing the processed glass to be washed and dried to the very highest standards. Integrating the Aqua washing machines enables the glass sheets to be perfectly prepared for the next machining operation, or for leaving the processing cycle.

BUSETTI F-SERIES – RAPID TOOLING
Vitrum will see the launch of revolutionary, innovative technology for the rapid tooling of corner-rounding units with the Busetti F-Series double-edging grinding range of products. Thanks to the revolutionary chamfering and radius execution system, the Busetti range offers the opportunity to redesign the production process, opening new application horizons for traditional double-edging lines. The radiusing units are patented Intermac devices for making rounded or chamfered corners, both matt diamond-edge and polished, from 1 to 5mm (for radii) and 1 to 7mm (chamfers). With this innovative system, it is not necessary to stop the glass in the machine; the rounding or chamfering operation can be performed while the glass is being machined, with no need for additional equipment.

THE DIGITAL HUB – IC AND SOPHIA
The stand is centred around the Digital Hub, which serves as the link between the software packages, a place where visitors can experience the true heart of the applications installed on Intermac technology. At the Digital Hub, all the functions of the software installed on Intermac machines will be on display, including SOPHIA, the IoT service platform that provides real time information and data through intuitive dashboards with the aim of improving personalised interaction with the customer on the basis of the machine and reducing assistance times even further. Vitrum will see the launch of IC – THE EVOLUTION OF ICAM, featuring a fresh interface that's easy to learn and use: a new approach to programming based on a robust and reliable platform that offers optimised calculation power thanks to the use of the latest technology for development.

DIAMUT, TOOLING DIVISION
The 2019 edition of Vitrum will feature Diamut in an all-new exhibition space (Hall 5 - Stand L09 M10). Diamut will also be featured at the Intermac stand, with an internal Demo Area revealing the machining results obtained with tools guided by the refined technology of the machines of Biesse Group's glass division.

“WHAT’S HOT IN GLASS PROCESSING?” SEMINAR
Intermac will participate as a presenter at the “What’s hot in glass processing” seminar: a chance to discuss and get up to speed on the most interesting and innovative technology in the sector. The appointment is set for 2 October at 2.30pm in Hall 5, Stand V21-Z30.
