Italian companies protagonists with GIMAV at Glasstec 2022 from 20 to 23 September.
Glasstec, the German trade fair, will take place in Düsseldorf from 20 to 23 Septembericato manufacturers of glass processing machinery and plants after four years of forced stop due to the pandemic.
GIMAV will be present with Italian companies specialized in flat glass and hollow glass on padiblocks 13 and 16 with ad hoc setups and a series of dedicated servicesicato members to support their participation.
Inside the padiglione 16, stand D16, the ICE-GIMAV-VITRUM institutional stand will be present, which will promote VITRUM 2023 (scheduled from 5 to 8 September 2023) and The Italian Glass Weeks 2022, the largest event dedicatedicato the promotion and valorisation of the entire glass supply chain which is taking place in Milan (until 18 September) and which will continue in Venice until 25 September 2022.
This is an event for market professionals looking for new technologies, customers and networking opportunities.
The focus of Glasstec 2022 will be on technology and machinery for glass processing.
“Glasstec is also an opportunity for GIMAV and for the companies part of the Association to talk about the peculiarities of the glass processing chain and the increase in production in the sector in recent years” said the GIMAV Director Fabrizio Cattaneo.
According to the data the sector is grew by 16,1% on 2020, and by 8,3% on 2019 (pre-Covid-19 crisis period). Germany, which accounts for 12,1% of the total, is the first country for trade (€263.922.114, up 7,6% compared to 2019).
The trade balance between the two countries is in favor of Italy for €54.004.892. The value of Export is equal to €158.963.503 and accounts for 9,3% of total exports.

The ADV version of GlassInspector, which can be installed after the groove laying station (manual or with automatic system), allows to integrate the defect control with the control of the groove position. The presence of non-compliance therefore allows the glass to be stopped before entering the press, intervening on any defects before the formation of the double glazing.
GU scanner is the system that allows you to check the finished double glazing: installed after the press, before the sealing machine, IGU scanner detects defects of various kinds (scratches, stains, bubbles or inclusions, dirt, residues) in the transparent area of the double glazing, checking also the position of the channel. The available parameters allow you to adjust the desired quality level, setting the dimensions of the acceptable defects or the tolerances relating to the position of the groove. Rollmac, a division of Gemata spa specialized in the production of machines for painting flat glass, will be present at the Glasstec event in Dusseldorf, from 20 to 23 September.
During the event, the Rollmac team will present on the stand the new product recently launched by the brand: JUMBOGLASS, a machine for roller painting jumbo-sized float glass sheets, i.e. large sheets to be used as structural glass and for outdoor construction (such as, for example, the cladding of skyscraper walls).
